The guys and I were real excited to get our oily hands on one of these diagnostic tools. Matt here with and I’m excited to bring you the latest ScanTool 426101 OBDlink MX review.

They recently pushed a flash, which I was able to update and which resolved my recent issues the support team has gone above and beyond in their efforts to resolve my issues, and the device now performs as well as my regular MX! Regrettably, I do not own any vehicles in which diagnostics are critical. Also, this time around, there were no issues with firmware updates, but the most important thing is that support is responding and doing so faster than I can respond, which is fantastic. I can confirm that I can use torque out of the box, as well as other apps, without first using their app. "br>br>Recently, they've requested that I re- They re-evaluated it and stated that they would re-evaluate it. This was supposed to be a step up from my MX, but it isn't. Of course, there's no help on an MX recovery, so I'm assuming the MX will suffice, but the lack of core support, and I don't mean fancy support, I mean literally their device with their app, is concerning.

It failed at 35 and then the unit was a brick then it failed at 35 then it failed at 35 then it failed% I tried the MX recovery procedure (which didn't work), as well as the pixel bluetooth cache clear (which didn't work). The second device I received told me that I needed to update the firmware right away because it will only work with their tool.

So, the first issue I had was that, unlike the other MX's, this device did not pair properly with my phone. " That's right, good luck getting a warranty claim or anything done when you can't contact them. Worse, scantool support has been renamed "community forum. This MX, on the other hand, is complete nonsense. " I have a variety of them, including MX Bluetooth and MX Wifi.

" br>br>"Let me just say that I've been buying scantool devices since they first came out with USB and serial cables back in the day. 00 scantool in the United States of America It is well worth the money. I can see all of the information and use the bidirectional controls like a $10,000 for only $00 US. ) To the people at OBDLink, thank you for allowing me to work on my vehicle once more. It will provide you with a wealth of diagnostic data on the engine as well as real-time monitoring (better than any other scantool at twice the price. If not, it's an excellent tool to have in your toolbox. Check the company's website to see if the advanced features are available for your vehicle if they are, the sky is the limit. You'll have to be patient with it because it responds quickly but not instantly, but it will get you to your destination. I've used the GM Techtool2 (the factory scantool for my SUV), and this one isn't any better or worse. Snap on and Matco scan tools have both been used by me. My vehicle is controlled in both directions by it. ) But it will communicate with everything (including the computer that controls the heated seats), and I mean everything. (It took me about a minute to an hour to pull the codes in question, and I had to update the firmware.

A word of warning to my fellow shadetree mechanics: the app in question is slower than you might expect. It does all of this with the included app (which comes with the purchase). It says in the literature that it won't work for all vehicles, but anyone who's ever had a problem with a car that wasn't just a SES light will understand.

THIS WILL NOT ONLY PULL BUT ALSO DEFINE THE CODE IN QUESTION. It cost $799 to purchase a scan tool that claimed to be able to read those codes from the suspension computer. When I turn on my 2007 Yukon Denali, the dash cluster displays a service suspension error message. Don't even consider it I'm confident you'll be satisfied. If your vehicle has advanced diagnostics, you should purchase this right away.
